Lunch at First: Mark your calendars!  LAF - Lunch at First!  What a great idea!  Join us for a pot luck lunch! Bring table service and a dish to share!  On Tuesday, April 21 in Fellowship Hall at 11:45 a.m.  Bob Ilisevich, “The Holland Land Company” Did you know that the Holland Land Company, way back in the 1790's, helped to develop this area with roads, saw mills, grist mills, bridges, and other infrastructure?  That they built stores that sold provisions on credit to weary newcomers who wanted to settle here?  And that, in 1804, the agent in charge was Harm Jan Huidekoper?  And that’s just for starters!  Come to LAF for “the rest of the story!”  Bring a friend and join us!  We’ll save you a seat!

Presbyterian Women's Spring Program

Presbyterian Women’s Spring Program Luncheon.  Bring a salad and join us for lunch!  On April 18, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.  Cost will be $3.00 for adults and children are free.  There will be a short business meeting at 12:30 p.m. followed by our salad bar lunch.  Program will begin at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary.  Our program features Cindy Speck, Christian Ventriloquist.  Cindy entertains, educates, and inspires audiences of all ages with humorous dialogue, silly skits, touching songs and audience participation!  Come and meet some new friends: Harold, an older man; Rosie, Freddie’s younger sister; Nellie, an older woman; and Spanky, an English sheepdog, and Freddie!  Plus!!  The Club Gap Liturgical Tumblers, up close and personal!  Spread the word - this delightful program will appeal to all ages!  So invite your friends and bring your children!

Men's Ministry at First Church

Men’s Ministry at First Church!!!  A men’s ministry meeting will be  held on Saturday, February 28 in the morning: a woodworking shop where the men will be the hands of the Carpenter.  Carpenters hands will be helping to construct children’s picnic tables.  The cost of the tables to participants will be $20. (per table).  Registration and cost (non-refundable) by February 20^th in the church office. 

Men Breakfast Second and Fourth Wednesdays of February

Men of the church are invited to Perkins Family restaurant on February 11^th and 25^th at 7:00am for breakfast, fellowship and Bible Study.

You will notice a new link on the navigation bar of the site to sermons. This section is about half way through development but we wanted to let you know that it is coming soon.

One of the new features of this part of our site is the ability to receive copies of the sermon automatically as they are posted. Head to the Sermons page to learn more about this feature.

More work being done on the web site

The core pages of the web site have been updated. The next set of updates will focus on developing a way to easily upload sermons and deliver them automatically to all who are interested.

As you can see the church's website received a facelift. The biggest difference is that the office staff is posting news of the week on the front page. We hope that this feature will help you stay informed of the happenings of the church.
